Commitment

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members." Coretta Scott King

Our Promise

The San Miguel Fund is committed to stewarding every dollar entrusted to us with integrity, transparency, and deep respect for both our donors and the people we serve. We recognize that behind every contribution is generosity and trust, and we honor that responsibility by ensuring funds are used thoughtfully, efficiently, and for their intended purpose.

We partner with vetted local social service agencies and educational institutions that are deeply embedded in the Pikes Peak Region and have firsthand expertise serving individuals and families in need. These partners help us identify the most urgent and impactful opportunities for support—whether assisting a single parent facing eviction, an individual with a disability navigating an unexpected medical expense, or a household struggling to recover from a sudden job loss, car repair, or family emergency.

In addition to emergency assistance, the San Miguel Fund is committed to expanding access to education for underserved populations. Many capable and motivated individuals are prevented from pursuing higher education not only by tuition costs, but also by the rising price of textbooks, technology, computers, and basic living expenses. Through strategic partnerships, we help remove these barriers so education can remain a pathway to long-term stability and opportunity.

Accountability and transparency are central to our work. We closely monitor how funds are distributed, collaborate with partners to track outcomes, and remain committed to clear and responsible financial practices. By working together as a community—with donors, service providers, and educational partners—we ensure that every dollar is maximized to meet the highest needs and create lasting impact.

Every gift matters. Every dollar makes a difference. And together, we are building a stronger, more resilient community where people are supported through crisis and empowered to thrive.
